Holy monkey this place is way too beautiful! There is a fort in the park that is one thousand years old. Furthermore there are ruins of towers, walls etc. all over the forest, builded 3-4 centuries ago by the king of Jaipur. Imagine these beautiful ancient buildings surrounded by exotic trees, birds, langurs (apes) and other sort of mammals. Really fascinating.

We could spend an entire week in the jungle, but Indians are very strict about the schedule. Accordingly, you are allowed to visit the park only twice a day: in the morning (from 6am to 9.30am) and in the afternoon (from 3pm to 6.30pm). That is a pity, because the best light for shooting is in the early morning or in the late afternoon and the hours between those two perfect moments are very hot.
Notwithstanding yesterday afternoon was very very hot, we spotted a young male tiger, who was resting in an artificial bath and I must confess it seemed to be at the zoo. We were very close to him (10m, maybe less) and after finding him, we were reached by at least four other cars, full of fool tourists making stupid noises.

Ash, our ranger/guide, said to us that We, humans, are the main cause of the extinction of this magnific species and in moments like that, you can do nothing but agree.
Ash is an amusing man, very good at his job and provided with 23 years of experience. He tells hundreds of funny jokes and has the eye of an eagle. When he becomes aware of something interesting close to us, he turns serious and pays the maxim attention to everything. As in this morning, really, you should have seen him. We were on the top of a hill, enjoying the amazing panorama, when suddenly we heard a tiger roaring and there it was: 200-250m beneath us. Mon dieu, it was exciting! Abruptly we were driving down the hill at 80 km/h and then we reached the tiger. You cannot even imagine how big and beautiful it was; the dominant male of the park, roaring, which is very rare, but fortunately for us it is meeting time and we got this amazing chance to hear it.

I can tell you that you never get bored overhere. Just physically tired. Especially in the evenings, after a busy day, it is all about meeting new people and chatting with them, dancind to Hindu music played live in the backyard. Food is also very good, spicy and healthy, but I will dedicate an entire post just for it.

I cannot upload more pictures now because this connection is not good enough, and the paintings etc will come sooner or later! Namaste!(photos by Nora and Max)
